Etan Comics is an entertainment platform dedicated to providing fresh and exciting African Superhero stories. Areas of emphasis include comic books, animation, television & feature films, video games, and various consumer products. Their mission simply expressed is to Entertain, Empower, and Educate.

The creator of Etan Comics Beserat Debebe was born and raised in Addis Ababa until the age of 14 when he moved to the US.  He always loved comics, animation and video games as a kid attracted to their

ability to communicate complex emotions and tell fantasy through art. “What inspired me to create comics was my desire to tell stories that I craved to see and read; stories about characters that I can relate to at a personal level.

I want to make a positive impact in my community by telling these important and exciting stories.

This is why I created ETAN COMICS. I want to use this platform to inspire the current and future generation of Africans. I also want to show to the rest of the world that Africa is not just a continent of suffering, war, corruption, disease and everything else they typically hear on mass media – I want them to see the real Africa: the beautiful, abundant, vibrant, and culturally rich continent where every day, the warmest and friendliest people, practice excellence, innovation, display courage and stand for justice, equality, hope, peace and love”.
