The photo book ‘Cabanes Imaginaires Autour du Monde’ (rendered in English ‘Worlds in the Making’) presents us the worlds French photographer Nicolas Henry invites us to peek at, not so much under a microscope, but through a richly hued magnifying glass.

While the photographs contained within are a beautiful tapestry of images from several continents, let us linger on the book cover. It features a wooden cart, full of children and saturated with the technicolour of a vivid dream.

This particular photograph was taken in the countryside not far from Menagesha town, on the Ambo road, and could well be called ‘Abyssinia Dreaming.’
