Temsalet Kitchen quietly opened its doors in 2016 and has evolved into the cosy go-to place in Old Airport/Sarbet with a social conscience – just down the road from Adams Pavillion. This social enterprise restaurant was specifically set up to address the needs of vulnerable young women including struggling single mothers; to show these women purpose and to provide skills based training. Only women are hired and trained at Temsalet (meaning Exemplary) and the profits are donated to support other women in need of assistance. Temsalet trains and mentors the ladies they hire to reach their full potential so that they can become self-supporting individuals.

The whole ethos of Temsalet is very much female focused – celebrating and empowering women as well as highlighting women’s causes, rights and social issues. There is a library with books for browsing and the space is also available for poetry and other readings alongside debates/discussions among other events and private rooms for work meetings or events.

It is a great place for breakfast or brunch/lunch providing freshly made food in the open plan kitchen.

So, if you are in the area, you can bookmark Temsalet as a great place to stop off to enjoy a tasty meal and an ideal way to also be supporting women in need at the same time.

Temsalet Kitchen is the brainchild and creation of Samira Messner who is the Founder and her husband Tobias Messner.
